Here are some basics:
- Use Google Chrome to set up assessments in Schoology.
- Create an Assessment in Schoology.Set up a short answer question if students are writing in class. Use Enable / Disable time settings to publish it
- Once the Assessment is set up, go to Lockdown Browser to find the assessment and select the Lockdown Browser Settings.
- Create a Password and give it to students in case they have to leave the assessement while they are writing - my students were not prompted to give their password when they submitted their assessement. (Ask Rico about this.)
- Set up a time limit on the Assessment side of the assignment. This is to ensure that students' submissions are submitted - This seems to be a Schoology Assessment issue (not a Lockdown one).
