Nearpod allows you to import your existing presentations into the platform.

You can drag and drop existing files under 10MB (JPG, PDF, PPT, PPTX) into a Nearpod lesson. You can import these files as multiple slides (one Nearpod slide for every slide in your file) or as a slideshow feature (where all slides will appear as one Nearpod slide and students will be able to scroll through them at their own pace within a lesson).

Importing as multiple slides allows you to add interactive activities in between the slides.

• From your Nearpod Library, select the lesson you want to edit or create a new lesson.
• Open up the folder containing the file in your computer. (This could be your desktop, too).
• Click, hold, and drag the file onto the presentation window. Alternatively, you can use the UPLOAD FILES option to browse from your local computer.
• Wait until it uploads.

You can also import the files as an individual slideshow feature. This way the PowerPoint will appear as one slide.

• From your Nearpod Library, select the presentation you want to edit.
• Select “Add Slide”, “Add content” choose slideshow.
• Open up the folder containing the file in your computer.
• Click, hold, and drag the file onto the presentation window.
• Wait until it uploads.

If you use Google Slides on Chrome, you can use the Nearpodize extension.

• Open the link and select “Add to Chrome”.
• Then, select “Add extension”. You will now see the Nearpodize extension to the right of the address bar in your browser.
• In order to use it, open the Google Slides file you want to convert to a Nearpod lesson.
• Click the Nearpodize icon in the top-right corner of the browser.
• Sign in to Nearpod by following the prompt that appears if you aren’t already signed in to your Nearpod account.
• Add interactive activities and multimedia to your new Nearpod lesson
